Anita Stackhouse’s
watercolors are inspired by the delicacy and diversity in nature.
Although
she has worked in
oils, pen and ink and charcoal she finds the most satisfaction
using watercolors. Her preferred media allows her to blend bold
pigments
with water to create realistic, impressionistic and abstract paintings
The artist’s watercolors reflect her belief
in Natural Theism. Anita believes that all things that exist in the
natural world command
awe and respect. Whether her subject matter is a cool waterfall,
the tiny seeds in a red pepper or a bountiful bouquet of flowers
Anita’s work reflects her appreciation of the beauty which
surrounds us.
Anita’s artwork has been exhibited
in galleries throughout Western North Carolina and South Carolina.
Her patrons proudly display
her original watercolor painting giclees and tile murals in their
homes. Her diverse subject matter and artistry enhances and beautifully
complements contemporary, traditional or eclectic décor.
